Beaufort
Beaufort was chartered in 1711 as part of the original Carolina colony. The original settlement of Beaufort can be found in the downtown historic district whose 304 acres of beautiful antebellum construction have been designated by the National Trust for Historic Preservation as a historic district. Its flourishing cultural scene makes Beaufort one of the best small towns for arts in the country. Beaufort is a center for the Gullah culture and language, and nearby St. Helena Island is considered one of the last strongholds of the Gullah people.
Beaufort is located on Port Royal Island in the heart of the Sea Islands and the Lowcountry. Beaufort has a substantial Marine Corps presence with MCRD Parris Island and MCAS Beaufort as well as the Naval Hospital. The city of Beaufort comprises about 25 square miles of marshy estuary, and the area enjoys a semi-tropical climate with average annual daytime and ocean temperatures around 70 degrees with a growing season of 293 days. This small waterfront town offers a quiet peaceful lifestyle where neighbors are friendly with a strong sense of community.
Battery Point
Battery Point is a planned community situated along Old Salem Road which was developed on 100 acres near downtown Beaufort that boasts over 4500 linear feet of waterfront along Battery Creek. This community was designed to maximize the available waterfront for the use by all residents in a manner that is condusive to pedestrian traffic and community interaction. Additionally, the developer took care to preserve the area wetlands and construct nature trails for the enjoyment of its residents.
Beaufort Historic District
Beaufort was chartered in 1711 as part of the original Carolina colony, and the original settlement is located in the downtown historic district. Today 304 acres of the town have been designated a National Historic Landmark, and many of its antebellum homes have been carefully restored and contribute to the town's charm today. Many of its historic landmarks continue as private homes, gracious inns, business offices, shops and restaurants.
Downtown Beaufort is defined as the peninsula jutting into the Beaufort River that is located east of Ribaut Road (US 21), and includes the neighborhoods of Old Point, Bay Street and Waterfront Park.
Cat Island
Cat Island is one of more than 60 small islands that make up the Sea Islands, and it's located east of the City of Beaufort. Cat Island features beautiful maritime forests, a variety of birds and other wildlife that frequent the area's marshes and lagoons, and the South Carolina National Golf Club offering both natural and man-made beauty to its residents and vistors. With its deep-water access, Cat Island offers waterfront living at its finest with boating, fishing and spectacular sunsets complimenting an area already known as a golfing community.
Coosaw Point
Coosaw Point is a waterfront community on Lady's Island where the Coosaw River meets the St. Helena Sound and the Atlantic Ocean. This deep-water community offers traditional and Lowcountry-style homes in a quiet setting of tree-lines sidewalks and natural open spaces. Dataw Island

Habersham

The Town of Port Royal is located between the Beaufort River and Battery Creek in South Carolina's Lowcountry. Walling Grove Plantation is a private, non-gated waterfront community located on the north end of Lady's Island.
